Code of Conduct

Another reason to only purchase "UCLA" products from licensed manufacturers is that UCLA licensed manufacturers are contractually obliged to conform to the University of California Code of Conduct for trademark licensees. This Code and its enforcement were implemented to ensure that manufacturers of "UCLA" emblematic products promote business and manufacturing practices designed to prevent the possibility that "UCLA" emblematic products be produced under sweatshop conditions.

To advise the University on the issue of sweatshops around the world and to assist in the monitoring, and enforcement of its Code of Conduct, the University is affiliated with the Fair Labor Association (FLA) and the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC).
