Bruin One Access wins Teaching and Learning Innovation award
Bruin One Access received its first honor by 1EdTech in early June for its innovative impact on UCLA’s learning and teaching structures, specifically for the UCLA undergraduate student body.
Los Angeles, Calif., June 23, 2025 – Within its first year of implementation, Bruin One Access program won 1EdTech’s Learning Impact Award in the Teaching and Learning Innovation category at the 2025 Learning Impact USA conference.

Bruin One Access is a subscription program offered by the UCLA Store, a student-run enterprise of Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA), that provides undergraduate students with access to required course materials at a flat rate of $129 per quarter. During its first year of implementation, the program saved students more than $3.6 million over traditional purchase options and saw a participation rate of approximately 72% per quarter.
“ASUCLA is honored that Bruin One Access has been recognized with the Learning Impact award,” said Peter Poon, UCLA Store director. “This award is a testament to our continued commitment to academic accessibility and work in ensuring that no student should fall behind because of the cost of course materials.”
