A Beginner’s Guide to UCLA Tours

UCLA admissions started rolling out, and for UCLA Tours, it means that the yearly rush of prospective Bruins will be coming to campus to learn more about our university. We’ve compiled some information about UCLA Tours, so if you know any incoming freshmen interested in attending UCLA, pass the info on!

According to UCLA Admissions, guided campus tours are led by UCLA students and will highlight academic programs, resources and student life. Guided tours take place Monday to Saturday every week except for official university holidays – meaning that tours will continue through UCLA’s spring break week and through the summer.

Some pro tips for UCLA campus tours:

Tours open two months in advance and the slots tend to fill up so that you can’t book a tour last minute. The best way to ensure that you get the tour time slot you want is to check at the beginning of each month to schedule a tour two months out. To book a in-person guided campus tour, visit the link below.

On the day of your campus tour, make sure to wear comfortable shoes — you’ll be walking up a few hills and stairs. To avoid being late to your tour slot, make sure to take Los Angeles traffic and parking into account when you travel to UCLA.

If the campus tours are filled up on the day you plan to visit UCLA, no need to worry! UCLA Tours has a self-guided tour map highlighting notable parts of the campus to visit. Eight stops on the map are accompanied by QR codes that lead to videos of UCLA tour guides explaining the history and significance of the location. Access the self-guided tour map through the link below.

Whether you’re taking a guided campus tour led by a UCLA student or using the self-guided tour map, you’ll leave with a new understanding and appreciation for UCLA and its beautiful campus.
