Alysa Liu
Alysa Liu UCLA is an American figure skater and UCLA student. She is the 2026 Winter Olympic figure skating champion in the women’s singles and team event. Alysa Liu is the first American woman to win the gold medal in the singles event since 2002. Read more about her performance in Milan at the link below.
Alysa Liu UCLA is a psychology student, enrolling in the fall of 2023. She is originally from Oakland, California. She began skating at age five and became the youngest US women’s champion at 13 years old. She became the first US woman to land three triple axels at the 2019 Detroit national championships in 2019, and placed sixth overall in the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022. In 2022, she retired from skating at the age of 16 to spend time with friends and family and explored other sports and hobbies. She returned to skating in 2024 after a ski trip reminded her of the adrenaline she felt while ice skating, this time on her own terms and with more control over her programs, music and training approach.
