CAE UCLA
The Center for Accessible Education at UCLA, or CAE UCLA, serves as a resource for UCLA students and the broader UCLA community regarding information about disabilities. The center also provides expertise in identifying and implementing academic and housing accommodations for students with disabilities at UCLA. For more information, visit the center’s website linked below.
Students seeking academic or housing accommodations should complete the appropriate CAE UCLA application and submit any necessary supporting documentation, which may vary depending on the type of disability. For more information about the academic and housing accommodations applications processes, click the respective links below.
According to the center’s website, documentation “must describe how the disability limits one or more major life activities and to what extent the student experiences disability-related, academic limitations.” For CAE eligibility and criteria, click the link below.
Accommodations and resources provided by CAE UCLA include assistive technology tools such as Otter Voice notes, Livescribe Smart Pen and more. For a one-on-one consultation with the center’s assistive technology specialist, email caetechnology@saonet.ucla.edu.
