UCLA Football prepares for 2026 season
The 2026 UCLA Football season opens with the Spring Showcase on May 2 at the Rose Bowl, the Bruins’ home stadium in Pasadena. The UCLA Football team represents UCLA in the NCAA Big Ten Conference going into the 2026 season.
The UCLA football schedule for 2026 begins with a home game against UC Berkeley on Saturday, Sept. 5. The majority of the regular season games will be played against Big Ten Conference opponents, with an additional out-of-conference matchup scheduled against Nevada on Oct. 31 at the Rose Bowl. This upcoming season, UCLA Football has a new head coach, Bob Chesney. Chesney joined UCLA in December 2025 and previously coached James Madison University, College of the Holy Cross and Assumption College (now Assumption University). In recent spring practices, Chesney has worked to recreate real-game situations with time-outs and encourage competition, according to the LA Times. Click the link below to learn more about Chesney.
