UCLA meal hours

UCLA meal hours are times when students can exchange and redeem meal swipes at UCLA Dining facilities located on the Hill, the residential area of campus, as well as in Ackerman Union and Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) Restaurants in various locations on campus. 

Meal Swipes at UCLA Dining

At the time of publishing, UCLA Dining eateries such as Epicuria at Covel, Rendezvous and Bruin Plate are open for breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. However, hours may change once the regular academic year starts. UCLA students who live on the Hill are able to choose between different meal plan options based on the number of swipes allotted per week — 11, 14 or 19. Additionally, the premier plans allow the use of multiple swipes during UCLA meal hours and have swipes to roll over week to week, but not the regular plans. Redeeming meal swipes at ASUCLA-operated locations

A meal swipe’s cash value at ASUCLA restaurants is $10 as per UCLA Dining’s latest update in July 2025. ASUCLA swipe exchanges are only available during certain UCLA meal hours on weekdays in the regular academic year, from 11 a.m. to 3:59 p.m., as determined by UCLA Dining. UCLA Dining 2025 update

UCLA Dining will not allow students to redeem meal swipes at some on-campus food vendors beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, including the UCLA Store Market, Panda Express, Carl’s Jr., Subway, Veggie Grill, Kikka Sushi and Yoshinoya.
