UCLA new student orientation
UCLA new student orientation sessions offer new students an opportunity to learn about UCLA, student services and academic planning in the summer before the fall quarter begins. UCLA orientations are offered for first-year students, transfer students and international students, as well as parents and families, by the New Student and Transition Programs (NSTP) department at UCLA. The new student orientation sessions at UCLA are a requirement for all undergraduate students, including first-year and transfer students. Students must make a reservation to attend an orientation session by July 1. Orientation for new students offers Bruins a time to visit the campus and learn about the various services and organizations for students in workshops and presentations, as well as enroll in classes for the fall quarter.
First-year new student orientations at UCLA are two days and required for students. There are 12 sessions that first-year students can attend, with particular sessions that have space reserved for international students and out-of-state students. Reservations can be made starting May 15, through MyUCLA. Sessions (101-112) last through July, August and September, starting on July 10 and 11 until Sept. 11 and 12.
