UCLA Women’s Basketball
The UCLA Women’s Basketball team finished their successful 2024-2025 season on April 4, making it to the final four of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament. According to a UCLA Athletics’ report on the team, the No. 1 seed UCLA Women’s Basketball team lost to the University of Connecticut (UConn) in the final four of the tournament in Tampa, Florida at the Amalie Arena, which ended their season; however, the team celebrated many wins in its season this year. The UCLA Athletics news webpage continues that the UCLA Bruins completed the season with 34 wins, with notable successes such as winning the Big Ten Tournament title and becoming the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, a first for the program. For 2024-2025, the women’s basketball UCLA team had a skillful group of coaches to support the team. At the time of publishing, Cori Close is the Michael Price Family UCLA women’s head basketball coach and Shannon LeBeauf is the associate head coach. Alongside Close and LeBeauf are Tasha Brown, Tony Newnan, Soh Matsuura and James Clark, who help the basketball team as assistant coaches. The women’s basketball team consists of 13 talented athletes.
