Ultimate UCLA end-of-year bucket list

Congratulations, Class of 2026! As we near the end of spring quarter, summer and graduation are right around the corner, and we at ASUCLA want to congratulate all Bruins, whether graduating or not yet graduates, on another school year well done.

Looking for a way to make the last month of school before the summer memorable? Check out the ideas below of things to do before spring quarter ends.

Explore LA

Especially for those who are not staying in Los Angeles over the summer or post-graduation, consider exploring more of the city! Consider doing a hike in Brentwood, Malibu or Hollywood, trying a new food spot in Sawtelle or Koreatown or soaking up the sun with a beach day at Will Rogers or Manhattan Beach. Popular hikes include Griffith Park or Brush Canyon, famous for their iconic Hollywood sign views.

Participate in a campus tradition

For graduating seniors, now is the time to complete the Bruintizing tradition and finally touch the waters of the Inverted Fountain for the second time. Bruins first touch the Inverted Fountain waters during New Student Orientation and it is rumored that those who touch them again before their last quarter at UCLA will not graduate on time. For those who are not graduating yet, there are plenty of other campus traditions to take part in: ice blocking, the undie run and the midnight scream, to name a few.

Attend a campus event

Though there is only one month left of the school year, there is still enough time to get involved on campus by attending a spring event. The My Last Lecture ceremony will be held on May 12 in De Neve Auditorium and the 2026 Spring Sing is approaching on May 16.

Check out an area of campus you haven’t explored before

At UCLA, it’s common for students to have all or most of their classes on either north campus, for humanities majors, or south campus, for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors. This month, consider checking out an area of campus you haven’t been to before to grab food between classes or study somewhere new. Don’t forget, UCLA also has botanical gardens and a planetarium!

Happy final month of school, Bruins – let’s make it count!
