Welcome to BenefitsU!
Welcome to BenefitsU, new Bruins, and welcome back, returning students! These emails serve as communication from Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) to the UCLA student body about on-campus restaurant menu updates, UCLA Store sales, student union programs and events, student job opportunities, fun blogs and more.
What is ASUCLA? you may ask. ASUCLA is your student association, made up of four pillars: the Undergraduate Students Association, the Graduate Students Association, Student Media (such as the Daily Bruin and other newsmagazines) and Student-Run Enterprises (the UCLA Store, ASUCLA Restaurants, Student Union and support divisions). Since its inception at the same time as UCLA itself in 1919, ASUCLA has operated as a nonprofit, governed by a student-majority board of directors and employs about 1,500 students at any given time.
ASUCLA strives to be responsive and student-centered, bringing CalFresh to campus with acceptance at four UCLA Store locations and offering a variety of free, student-centric programs throughout the year such as wellness events, Kerckhoff patio concerts and more. The BenefitsU blogs, like this one, offer you communication on all things related to UCLA, any relevant events for that month, some history, a little trivia and more. The blogs are created for students, by students — they are meant to benefit you!
In addition to BenefitsU, stay connected with ASUCLA on Instagram (@asucla), TikTok (@asucla) and through text alerts! We look forward to seeing you all this school year. Go Bruins!
