Flying objects and glowing green lights…a true haunted house
In 1974, the quiet home of a UCLA psychology professor in Culver City became the center of one of the university’s most unsettling investigations — a case of violent poltergeist activity that terrified not only the family inside but the researchers themselves: flying objects and flickering lights from an unseen force that wouldn’t let go. Half a century later, the investigators still can’t shake what they saw. Read the full story by clicking the link below.
What secrets are hidden in the dark depths of south campus?
Late at night, the south campus halls fall silent — except for the hum of unseen machines and the echo of your own footsteps. Shadows stretch too long, doors warn of dangers you can’t see and rumors whisper of ghosts, cadavers and things best left undiscovered. This UCLA student went searching for the unknown at home…click the link below to read the full story.
The ghost of Powell Cat
After dark, Kerckhoff’s old Gothic halls echo with faint pawsteps that vanish when followed. A flash of glowing eyes has been spotted in the stained-glass reflections and late-night wanderers report hearing a meow before their books or coffee cups are mysteriously knocked off tables. One student even claims a cat’s tail brushed their ankle — though nothing was there.
Legend has it, Powell Cat now prowls Kerckhoff Hall forever, circling its new statue, protecting Bruins burning the midnight oil… and spooking those who don’t share their snacks.
Happy Halloween, Bruins
