Alexa Chua wins 13th annual ASUCLA T-shirt Design Contest

Alexa Chua’s vintage diner milkshake design declared the official winner of the 13th annual ASUCLA T-shirt Design Contest.

Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 12, 2026 – The student body’s vote is in: first-year cognitive science student Alexa Chua has been named the winner of the 2026 Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) T-shirt Design Contest. Her winning design combines a 1950s diner menu-inspired milkshake motif with UCLA colors and symbols.

“I made this design inspired by 1950s menus because I thought the milkshakes look very delicious!” Chua stated in her submission.
