Welcome week
UCLA’s True Bruin Welcome week, also called week 0, takes place annually at the beginning of the fall quarter. This year's events will be held from Sept. 21-27. Welcome week consists of several events to welcome new and returning Bruins to campus. To access the event webpage, click the link below.
True Bruin Welcome is part of UCLA First Year Experience (FYE), which aims to support first-year Bruins in transitioning to college life while also encompassing other initiatives such as Living Learning Communities (LLCs), the Common Experience and academic support on the Hill. Champed Up: a UCLA Athletics welcome rally in Pauley Pavilion.
All events are free to attend for students. More academic-focused events include academic open houses, where students can connect with faculty members, as well as welcome events for transfer (Transferpalooza) and commuter students (Commuter Student Welcome).
