National Science Week with UCLA
From a variety of research programs to the many alumni who have become scientists and researchers, UCLA has strong roots in the science fields. As this week (Aug. 9-17) is National Science Week and the next academic year is approaching, there is no better time to explore science organizations, discover recent UCLA Health research and learn more about how to engage with all things science, regardless of your major.

Class of 2025
Congratulations, UCLA Class of 2025! According to a UCLA Newsroom article, the UCLA Class of 25 included about 10,100 students who received their bachelor’s degrees and about 5,000 graduate and doctorate students who received their masters/doctorates. The 2025 graduating class is now part of the UCLA alumni community around the globe. Clean Beaches Week with UCLA
With summer picking up and more people getting out in the sunshine, that often can lead to trash on beaches and in parks. However, July 1-7 is known as Clean Beaches Week, notes the Clean Beaches Coalition — a great time to clean beaches and recognize ways to be more sustainable! If you feel too busy to attend any beach pick-up events, let this be a reminder to pick up trash if you see it and leave the beach as you found it (or cleaner!). If you are up for joining an organized event, there are plenty beyond the beach cleanup week alone to help continue to keep our beaches clean all year round!

Recognizing Pride Month at UCLA
Happy Pride Month, Bruins! The month of June observes Pride Month, also known as LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning, with the + symbolizing the many other sexual orientations and gender identities within the LGBTQ+ community) Pride Month. According to the Library of Congress, Pride Month began in 1970, a year after the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, in which people protested for increased LGBTQ+ rights. This Pride month, learn more about the resources, clubs and organizations that uplift the LGBTQ+ community.

Dear Bruins, we bid adieu to you. We, as in the communications team seniors for ASUCLA Marketing.
