UCLA student government
There are two UCLA student governments and a number of other student government organizations representing different groups of students at UCLA. UCLA’s student governments are the Undergraduate Students Association Council (USAC) and the Graduate Students Association (GSA).

Recognizing Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month at UCLA
Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month celebrates the achievements, histories and traditions of Hispanic/Latinx Americans and is recognized nationally from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. This month coincides with the independence days of several Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua celebrate independence on Sept. 15, Mexico’s Independence Day is on Sept. 16 and Chile’s is on Sept. 18, notes the National Museum of the American Latino. UCLA housing cost
UCLA housing costs vary depending on the type of housing and meal plan students pay for. UCLA Housing offers four different types of dorms: classic, deluxe, plaza or suite, along with different meal plans and room occupancy options. The lowest-priced housing option is a classic dorm with three occupants and a meal plan with 11 meals per week, which costs $14,858.76 for the academic year.
